Welcome to The
Automation Partnership's web site. Here
you will find useful information about our
company, products, services, and the people
behind our organisation. |
| |
Whatever your relationship
with TAP - customer, supplier, business
partner, prospective employee or other stakeholder
- we aim within this web site to bring you
the information you need to make informed
decisions about our company. |
| |
Our business strategy is
based on understanding our customers' evolving
research and development processes and creating
innovative technology solutions to meet
their needs. Since 1988 we have been pioneering
the development of automation solutions
for many life science research applications
including discovery, screening, biologics
development and
regenerative medicine. |
| |
TAP's core competency is
designing and developing novel automated
cell culture, sample management and screening
systems. We support these systems with a
wide range of excellent technical and professional
services, designed to ensure customers gain
optimum return from their capital investment. |
| |
TAP has already built a significant
portfolio of best-in-class products with
a strong intellectual property position
around our technology platforms and brands.
In 2007 we launched the first of a new generation
of smaller bench-top systems which we expect
to further strengthen our market position. |
| |
 |
| |
TAP is in business to offer
a range of innovative technologies, products
and services to enable the life science
research and development community to discover
and develop new medicines, therapies and
vaccines to treat major diseases and improve
the health and quality of life of people
around the world. |
| |
The following TAP value
statements support this commitment: |
| |
Growth
through innovation
Innovation is at the heart of everything
we do at TAP and improving our products,
services and business processes is the best
means of supporting the life sciences industry.
By committing to high levels of investment
in research and development we are able
to grow our product and service portfolio,
maintain our market leadership and help
our customers achieve their business and
research goals. |
| |
Integrity
and trust
TAP is an international business with a
responsibility for high standards of behaviour
worldwide. We always seek to maintain high
ethical standards in our relationships with
all our internal and external stakeholders
and the wider community. TAP employees adhere
to the ethical standards set by the company
of honesty, integrity and trust and perform
to the best of their ability. |
| |
Engineering
and science
Our unique position in the life sciences
marketplace has enabled us to develop and
maintain strong strategic relationships
within the major pharmaceutical and biotechnology
companies. Our expertise in combining sound
engineering with application 'know how'
has been developed over the past two decades
and enabled us to be first to market time-after-time
with unique enabling technologies that support
scientific research. |
| |
TAP
quality
Quality lies at the very heart of TAP. We
not only develop high quality products and
services but our internal processes are
mapped, controlled and reviewed to aid better
decision-making. We are on target to reach
the ISO9001 standard by the summer of 2008,
and this focus on continual improvement
is an attribute valued and shared by our
customer base. |
| |
Customer
focus
We recognise that TAP systems are significant
capital commitments and valuable strategic
assets. So we work closely with our life
science customers to really understand their
problems, help solve their research challenges
and improve their productivity. |
| |
As our success depends on
forming long-term business relationships,
each and every contact we make with a customer
or a prospective customer becomes a real
'moment of truth' for us. Ultimately our
aim is for each customer to be delighted
and confident in the decision that they
made to invest in a TAP automation system.
|
| |
Working
culture
TAP is committed to treating all employees
fairly and providing what they need to be
successful in their jobs. We seek to attract
and retain highly capable and committed
people and try to provide a work environment
that encourages inclusion, respect and individual
responsibility. |
| |
We aim to stimulate creativity
throughout TAP and encourage staff to explore
a range of possible solutions to business
challenges. By encouraging open communication
and employee involvement we wish our people
to feel valued, energised and committed
to the long-term future of TAP. |
| |
Value
for shareholders
We will increase value to our shareholders
by developing and delivering products and
services that support our customers' business
and research objectives. Long term sustainable
success for TAP comes from making our customers'
businesses a success. This is the means
by which we will continue to grow TAP and
provide suitable returns for our shareholders'
investment. |
| |
We are committed to continual
improvement in all areas of our business
so we can ensure a healthy profitable future
for TAP and continue in our mission to support
the global life sciences research industry. |
