The Automation Partnership presents on Successful Automation of Specimen Storage at minus 80oC
The Automation Partnership (TAP) is presenting at two key biobanking conferences this month.
Justin Owen, Technology Manager at TAP, will be presenting on "Successful Automation of Specimen Storage at -80oC" at the Biorepositories conference in Philadelphia next week. The talk will discuss the major challenges and choices in automation sample storage, drawing on examples from TAP's recent installation at the UK Biobank - a groundbreaking project storing ten million samples at -80oC over a projected period of up to 25 years.
Later in the month, Tim Peakman, Executive Director at the UKBiobank, will give the Keynote Address at the Biobanking event in London. Also presenting will be Dr Peter Woods, now an independent consultant, who will lead TAP's workshop on "Transitioning to higher throughput automation, biological sample storage and assessing lower temperature storage capabilities".
