Press Release - for immediate release
12 September 2008
CEO, Dr Andy Morffew, to retire from The Automation Partnership in March 2009
Message from Matthew Bullock, Chairman of The Automation Partnership:
"For some time now Andy Morffew and I have been discussing plans for Andy's retirement. Andy will have been the TAP CEO for five years in January and during all that time he has worked away from his home five days a week. Now that Andy's wife Lesley has retired, Andy would like to spend more time back in Hampshire.
Following discussion with the Board about a paced succession plan for TAP, Andy and I have agreed that he will step down as CEO at the end of this financial year in March 2009. As a new phase opens in TAP's development, we both feel it is sensible to prepare now to pass over the helm to a successor in the Spring.
We hope to announce the appointment of the new CEO before Christmas. Andy will continue to be available in a consultancy role after March to ensure a smooth transition is achieved for our customers and management team.
The Board thanks Andy for his valuable contribution to the company."
Matthew Bullock, Chairman, The Automation Partnership.
