TAP's 10th automated cell culture user group meeting hosted by Merck
The 10th annual user group meeting for The Automation Partnership's (TAP) automated cell culture systems was held last week in Germany.
The event was hosted by Merck at their facility at Darmstadt, and attracted attendees representing users of TAP's family of automated cell culture systems - SelecT, CompacT SelecT and CellBase. Taking place over two days, the meeting included a welcome dinner and tour of their CompacT SelecT, as well as presentations by customers at Cellartis, Merck, Novartis and Roche.
SelecT and CompacT SelecT have become the ‘gold standard’ for cell culture to provide cellular reagents for cell-based screening. Installed in over 60 laboratories, including all the major pharmaceutical research companies, the systems are used in a wide variety of ways, both to provide cells for 1536 well uHTS screening campaigns as well as maintaining multiple cell lines (20+) in support of therapeutic area research.
