The Automation Partnership launches automated tube decapper for integration into liquid handling systems
The Automation Partnership (TAP), a world leading supplier of innovative automation for life science applications today introduced on Stand 116 at the SBS in Lille, France its integrated Capit-All – a new automated tube decapper specially designed for integration into customers’ own liquid handling systems.
This new ‘automation-friendly’ version has been developed following requests from customers. It offers a reliable method of decapping and recapping 96 screw-cap tubes and is compatible with labware from major manufacturers (Corning, Greiner, Micronic and ThermoFisher).
Designed to fit to the side of the liquid handler, it automatically presents 96 open tubes to the dispensing tips, maximising the available space on the bed for storage of processed racks and other equipment.
Robust, reliable and with special ‘automation-friendly’ features to reduce the likelihood of cross contamination, Integrated Capit-All is ideal for production applications, and all functions are controllable and accessible from the liquid handler’s user Interface.
Stephen Guy, Commercial Manager, states; “Since its launch in 2007, the stand-alone Capit-All has seen strong sales across a range of life science companies working in small molecule drug discovery, and biologics production. The new Integrated Capit-All offers researchers significant ‘walk-away’ time, enabling them to accelerate a task that is often a bottleneck in a production environment”.
